Bus
From the main bus station in Orvieto, take the bus towards Grosseto. The bus service is operated by Tiemme. Make sure to check the schedule for the correct departure times. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, you will arrive at the bus stop in Pitigliano. Once you get off, follow the signs towards the town center, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Train and Bus
Start at Orvieto train station and take a train towards Siena. Disembark at the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme station. From there, transfer to a local bus heading to Pitigliano. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Pitigliano, follow the signs to the town center.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and the weather permits, you can take a scenic walk from Orvieto to Pitigliano. The distance is approximately 21 kilometers, and it will take about 5 hours. Start by heading south from the city center, following the signs towards the countryside. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water, as the route can be quite challenging.
