Getting There

• Walking

  From the central area of Palermo, such as Piazza Politeama, head southeast on Via Ruggero Settimo toward Via Emerico Amari. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and walk until you reach the intersection with Via Maqueda. This is a bustling area with shops and cafes. Turn right onto Via Maqueda and walk until you see the impressive Teatro Massimo on your left. Continue straight, passing the Teatro Massimo, and keep going until you reach the intersection with Via Vittorio Emanuele. Turn left onto Via Vittorio Emanuele and walk until you reach Piazza del Parlamento. The Norman Palace will be on your right at Piazza del Parlamento, 1.

  From any central location in Palermo, find the nearest bus stop. Take any bus that goes to 'Piazza del Parlamento' or 'Palazzo Reale'.
