Walking
If you are near the Palermo Cathedral, head south on Via Maurizio Ascoli towards Via Vittorio Emanuele. Turn left onto Via Vittorio Emanuele and continue straight for about 600 meters. You will pass by several shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the beautiful architecture along the way. When you reach the intersection with Via Maqueda, continue straight until you see the stunning fountain at Piazza Pretoria on your left.
Public Transportation (Bus)
Find your nearest bus stop and take Line 104 or Line 107, which both go towards the city center. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach Piazza Pretoria or look for the stop called 'Piazza Pretoria'. Once you get off the bus, you will see the fountain and the square directly ahead.
Walking from Teatro Massimo
Start at Teatro Massimo, the famous opera house. Exit the theater and turn left onto Via Maqueda. Walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Vittorio Emanuele. Turn right onto Via Vittorio Emanuele and continue for another 200 meters. You will arrive at Piazza Pretoria, where you can admire the beautiful fountain and the surrounding historical buildings.
Metro (Subway)
Currently, Palermo does not have a metro system that reaches Piazza Pretoria directly. However, you can take a bus or walk from the closest metro station, which is Stazione Centrale. Exit the station and walk towards Via Roma, then catch any bus heading towards the city center that will drop you off near Piazza Pretoria.
