Walking
If you are in the city center, head towards Via Vittorio Emanuele. Start at the Quattro Canti (the intersection of Via Vittorio Emanuele and Via Maqueda). From Quattro Canti, walk south on Via Vittorio Emanuele for approximately 800 meters. You will pass several historical buildings and shops along the way. Continue straight until you reach Porta Nuova, which will be on your left. Look for the impressive archway and the surrounding gardens.
Public Transport
If you are near the Palermo Centrale train station, take bus line 104. Board the bus at the station and travel towards 'Piazza Indipendenza'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Piazza Indipendenza' stop. From there, head south on Via Vittorio Emanuele for about 300 meters, and you will see Porta Nuova on your right. The bus runs frequently, making it a convenient option.
Walking from the Marina
If you are at the Marina, walk towards Via Francesco Crispi and turn onto Via Vittorio Emanuele. Head east for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Quattro Canti. Then, follow the previous directions to Porta Nuova. This route offers beautiful views of the city and its architecture.
