We visited four different spots beloved by locals, sampling a perfect mix of sweet and savory artisanal treats. The food was incredible, ranging from traditional recipes to modern twists that show exactly why Parma is a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. It wasn’t just about the food, though; we learned so much about the city’s history and how it evolved into a culinary powerhouse. A huge shout-out to our guide, Michelle! She was incredibly knowledgeable, seamlessly weaving food history with the fascinating story of the city. Her storytelling made every bite meaningful and kept us hooked from start to finish. To top it all off, we added the “Medieval Parma” tour option. Doing both the breakfast tour and the medieval walk made for a truly unforgettable day, giving us a complete picture of Parma from its culinary roots to its ancient streets.
