Private Half Day Tour to Parma the City of Perfume

Perfume Tour really more of a history tour

Advertised as a “perfume tour”. It was really more of a history of Parma tour. We expected to see how perfume is made and to sample various local perfumes (besides Acqua di Parma). The first two hours of the tour were totally focused on the history of Parma and Maria Luigia’s life. We went to a small shop specializing in violet things (with no interaction with the owner) and then a perfume shop that sold Acqua di Parma (not the Acqua di Parma store as advertised). The guide was very knowledgeable but filled us with dates and names that had no affiliation to the production of perfume.

A Magical Walking Tour of Parma!

Erica was a great guide. She set the stage perfectly for the tour then added additional information as we walked through Parma to find the finest Parmagian Cheeses paired with Lambrusco wine. On to get a unique savory pastry with Ricotta. Next, were the most fabulous charcuterie of local meats followed by an aged balsamic tasting. After all of that we finished with award winning gelato that was absolutely amazing. And, Erica made the whole experience blend perfectly with history, knowledge and pride of for Parma. A magical experience that everyone should try and enjoy!!
