If you are starting from the central area of Parma, head towards Piazza Garibaldi. From the square, walk south towards Via Garibaldi. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Mazzini. Turn left onto Via Mazzini and walk until you hit the end of the street where it meets Via Cavour. Turn right onto Via Cavour and continue walking until you reach Piazzale S. Giovanni. San Giovanni Evangelista will be located on your left at Piazzale S. Giovanni, 1. The church is recognizable by its stunning facade.

From the main train station (Stazione di Parma), you can take bus number 6 or 7 towards 'Parma Centro'. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Garibaldi'. From there, walk south towards Via Garibaldi, then take a left on Via Mazzini, and follow it until you turn right onto Via Cavour. Continue until you reach Piazzale S. Giovanni, where San Giovanni Evangelista is located.
