Bus
From the center of Perugia, walk to the main bus station, Piazza Partigiani. Look for the bus line that goes towards Monte Tezio, typically bus number 40 or 41. Purchase your ticket from the kiosk at the station. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride as you head towards the outskirts of the city. Get off at the stop closest to Monte Tezio, usually named 'Monte Tezio'. From there, you can follow the marked hiking trails to reach the peak.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Perugia, near the Fontana Maggiore. Head north towards Via della Repubblica and continue onto Corso Garibaldi. Follow this road until you reach Via Settevalli. This route will take you through some residential areas and will eventually lead you to the base of Monte Tezio. The hike from the base to the peak is about 3 kilometers and should take approximately 1 hour, depending on your pace.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in the city. Start from the main square, Piazza IV Novembre, and head towards Via Settevalli. Follow this road as it leads you out of the city towards Monte Tezio. The journey is approximately 5 kilometers and is mostly uphill, so be prepared for a workout! Once you reach the foot of the mountain, you can lock your bike and start your hike to the summit.
