Getting there

Walking

To reach Piazza Italia from the main train station (Stazione di Perugia), exit the station and head towards Via della Libertà. Follow this road straight until you reach the intersection with Corso Vannucci, which is the main street in Perugia. Turn left onto Corso Vannucci and continue walking for about 10 minutes. You will pass various shops and cafes on your way. Piazza Italia will be on your right; look for the large square with beautiful architecture.

Bus

From the main train station (Stazione di Perugia), you can take the local bus line 1 or 2 towards the city center. Purchase your ticket at the station or from the bus driver. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Italia,' which is approximately a 15-minute ride. After disembarking, you will be directly in front of Piazza Italia.

Funicular

If you're coming from the lower part of Perugia (Piazza Partigiani), take the funicular (the Mini Metro) towards Pincetto. The ride is short and scenic. Once you exit at the Pincetto station, follow the signs to the top exit that leads you to Via dei Priori. Turn left and walk straight until you reach Piazza Italia. It should take about 5 minutes from the funicular exit.

Taxi

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi. Taxis are available at various points around Perugia, including near the main train station. Simply tell the driver 'Piazza Italia,' and they will take you directly there. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.
