Walking
If you are in the center of Pisa, make your way to the Pisa Centrale train station. From the Leaning Tower of Pisa, head east along Via Santa Maria until you reach Via Roma. Turn right onto Via Roma and walk straight to the station, which will take about 20 minutes. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Lucca, which is approximately a 30-minute train ride away. Upon arriving at Lucca, exit the train station and follow the signs to the city center. Amazing Lucca is located a short walk from the station; you can follow Via della Stazione and then Via Vittorio Emanuele towards the historic center.

From the Leaning Tower of Pisa, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Follow the bike path along the river Arno, heading towards the train station. Once you reach Pisa Centrale, you can take your bicycle on the train to Lucca. After the short train ride, disembark at Lucca and ride towards the city center. Amazing Lucca is located within a few minutes' ride from the train station, so you can explore the scenic streets and arrive easily.
