Bus
From Pisa, head to the main bus station located at Piazza dei Martiri della Libertà. Look for bus number 30, which goes towards Abetone. After boarding, enjoy the scenic ride until you reach the stop for Abetone Cutigliano. From the bus stop, follow the signs towards Lago Nero which is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill. The path is well-marked, and you will see signs directing you to the lake.
Train and Bus
Take the train from Pisa Centrale to Pistoia. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Pistoia station, exit and look for the bus stop near the station. Board the bus heading towards Abetone Cutigliano. After reaching Abetone, follow the signs for Lago Nero which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
