Walking
From the center of Pompeii, head towards the Pompeii Scavi (archaeological site) entrance. Once you reach the entrance, look for the bus stop labeled 'Pompei - Piazza Anfiteatro.' Take the bus going to Sorrento and get off at the Anacapri stop. From there, follow the signs to the Grotta Verde, which is about a 15-minute walk downhill. Keep an eye out for local signs that will guide you along the path.
Public Transport
Start at the Pompeii train station. Take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Sorrento station. From Sorrento, take the bus to Anacapri (look for the bus marked 'Anacapri'). After about 40 minutes, get off at the Anacapri bus terminal. From the bus terminal, it's a short 10-minute walk to Grotta Verde. Follow local signage or ask locals for directions if you need assistance.
