    From the Pompeii archaeological site entrance, head southwest on Via Villa dei Misteri. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Plinio. Turn left on Via Plinio and walk for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the Circumvesuviana train station in Pompeii. Here, purchase a ticket for the train to Ercolano. The train ride will take about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ercolano station, exit the station and turn left onto Via dei Papiri Ercolanensi. Walk for about 10 minutes to reach the Scavi di Ercolano.
