From the center of Pompeii, head south towards Via Roma. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via dell'Abbondanza. Turn left onto Via dell'Abbondanza and walk until you reach the Pompeii Scavi (Excavations) entrance. Purchase a ticket if you haven't already. After entering, follow the signs towards the Villa of the Mysteries. After visiting the villa, continue through the archaeological site, heading towards the Porta Marina entrance. Once outside, you will need to find the ferry terminal to Capri, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the site exit. Follow the signs to the ferry terminal located at the harbor area. Once at the terminal, purchase your ferry ticket to Capri and board the ferry.

From Pompeii, walk to the Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri train station, which is a short distance from the archaeological site. Board the Circumvesuviana train heading towards Sorrento. After about 30 minutes, get off at Sorrento station. From Sorrento, follow the signs to the port and purchase a ferry ticket to Capri. The ferry ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Capri ferry terminal, follow the signs to Piazzetta Cerio, which is a short walk from the terminal.
