Getting There

Walking
From the center of Pompeii, head towards the main entrance of the Pompeii archaeological site. Once you exit the site, turn left onto Via Villa dei Misteri, which will lead you to the main road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. From there, turn right onto Via Roma and continue walking until you reach the Pompeii train station (Stazione di Pompei). At the train station, take a Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Napoli San Giovanni-Barra station. From there, catch the metro line 2 towards Pozzuoli and get off at the Mergellina station. Exit the station and walk towards the waterfront, where you will find Viale Anton Dohrn. Continue walking down this avenue until you reach Villa Comunale.

If you prefer taking public transport, start at the Pompeii archaeological site and head towards the nearby bus stop. Look for the EAV bus service, specifically the line that goes towards Naples. Board the bus and enjoy a scenic ride, which should take about 40 minutes. The bus will take you to Naples, where you should get off at the Mergellina stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the waterfront and head to Viale Anton Dohrn. Follow the avenue until you reach Villa Comunale.
