Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Pompeii archaeological site entrance, head northeast on Via Villa dei Misteri. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Turn left onto Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi and walk for about 300 meters. You will see Piazza Bartolo Longo on your right, just before you reach the Basilica of Pompei. The square is surrounded by shops and cafes, making it a lovely place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

    If you are starting from the Pompeii train station, exit the station and head southeast on Via Roma. Continue along Via Roma until you reach the first major intersection. Turn left onto Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Walk down Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi for about 600 meters, and you will see Piazza Bartolo Longo on your left, just before the Basilica of Pompei.
