Deluxe Cruise-Friendly Portofino & Santa Margherita Ligure Tour
A Relaxed Day Along the Coast
My partner and I wanted to see Portofino during our cruise stop without spending the entire day worrying about transportation, and this worked very well for us. Santa Margherita Ligure was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the waterfront walk, Piazza Caprera, and the area around Villa Durazzo before continuing toward Portofino. Portofino itself was beautiful and very romantic without feeling like we had to rush from one sight to another. We loved walking around the harbor and looking at the colorful buildings and yachts. Seeing Castello Brown sitting above the bay was also a memorable part of the visit. Our guide gave us interesting information without overwhelming us with too many details. We also appreciated having some free time to simply enjoy the towns together. The transportation was comfortable and, most importantly for a cruise excursion, the schedule was handled carefully. It was a peaceful and memorable day for the two of us.

Cruse-Friendly Portofino and Santa Margherita Excursion
Great Cruise Day
Our group wanted to make the most of our limited time ashore, and this turned out to be a very enjoyable day. We liked that the itinerary included two different places instead of focusing only on Portofino. Santa Margherita Ligure had a relaxed coastal feel. We walked around the waterfront, saw Piazza Caprera and Castello di Santa Margherita, and had time to appreciate the architecture and scenery. The free time was especially useful because everyone in our group wanted to do slightly different things. Portofino was the highlight for all of us. Walking around the harbor with the colorful buildings and yachts surrounding us was something we will remember from the cruise. We also enjoyed seeing Castello Brown and the views over the bay. It was a great place for photographs, but we also simply enjoyed sitting and taking in the scenery. The day felt organized without being overly formal. Transportation was comfortable, the guide was informative, and we never had to worry about finding our way back to the ship. We finished the excursion feeling like we had seen a beautiful part of the Italian Riviera while still having enough time to enjoy ourselves.
