Getting There

Foot
From the main beach area of Positano, head up Via del Brigantino towards the main road. Once you reach the main road (SS163), turn left and continue walking uphill. Follow the signs toward the SITA bus station, which will be on your right. From the bus station, you can take a bus to Naples. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Naples, walk towards the nearest metro station (Garibaldi Station) and take Line 2 towards Pozzuoli. Alight at the Cavour Station. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi to Castel Nuovo, which is located at Via Vittorio Emanuele III.

Bus
Walk to the SITA bus station in Positano, located near the main beach. Purchase a ticket for Naples, and board the bus heading to Naples. The ride takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you reach Napoli Centrale (the main train station), exit the station and head towards the metro station. Take Line 2 of the metro towards Pozzuoli and get off at Cavour Station. From Cavour Station, it’s a 15-minute walk to Castel Nuovo. Head east on Via Cavour, then turn right onto Via Vittorio Emanuele III. The castle will be on your left.
