    From the main beach area of Positano, head towards Via Pasitea, which runs parallel to the coastline. Walk east along Via Pasitea until you reach the intersection with Via dei Mulini. Continue straight onto Via dei Mulini. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the bus stop at Piazza dei Mulini. From there, take the bus towards Sorrento or Naples. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Pozzuoli stop. Once you arrive in Pozzuoli, Lake Avernus is a short 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Head south towards Via Napoli, then turn left on Via Avernus. Follow the road until you see the lake.

    From your location in Positano, make your way to the nearest bus stop at Piazza dei Mulini. Take the SITA bus towards Sorrento or Naples. The journey to Pozzuoli takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Pozzuoli bus station, exit and walk south toward Via Napoli. Turn left onto Via Avernus and follow the road for approximately 15 minutes until you reach Lake Avernus.

    If you prefer a scenic route, consider taking a ferry from Positano to Naples. From the ferry terminal in Positano, buy a ticket to Naples. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Naples ferry terminal, take the Metro Line 2 towards Pozzuoli. Get off at the Pozzuoli station. From there, walk south to Via Napoli and turn left onto Via Avernus. Follow the road for about 15 minutes until you reach Lake Avernus.
