Getting There

Walking
Start from the main beach area (Spiaggia Grande) in Positano. Head up Via del Brigantino, following the signs towards the town center. Continue on Via dei Mulini until you reach the intersection with Via Pasitea. Turn left onto Via Pasitea. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the bus stop for the SITA bus service. Take the SITA bus towards Avellino, which should take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Mercogliano stop, follow the signs for the Sanctuary of Montevergine. The sanctuary is approximately a 15-minute walk uphill from the bus stop along Via Santuario.

From your location in Positano, walk to the nearest bus stop along Via Pasitea. Take the SITA bus towards Avellino. Make sure to check the schedule as buses may not run frequently. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Mercogliano stop. From there, follow the signs for the Sanctuary of Montevergine, which is about a 15-minute uphill walk along Via Santuario.
