From Positano, head to the main port area where the ferries dock, which is located at the base of the town. Look for signs indicating the ferry to Pompei. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Sorrento. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the coastline and takes approximately 30 minutes.

Upon arriving at the Sorrento port, follow the signs to the Sorrento train station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Once at the station, board the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. Be sure to get off at the Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri station, which is the closest stop to the Villa dei Misteri. The train ride takes about 30 minutes.
