Getting there

Bus

From Rimini, head to the Rimini train station (Stazione di Rimini). You can walk there in about 15 minutes from the city center. Once at the station, take a train towards Ravenna. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arriving at Ravenna station, exit the station and look for the bus stop for Line 1. Board the bus and travel towards 'Piazza S. Francesco'. Get off at the stop named 'Piazza S. Francesco' which is a short walk from the Basilica of Saint Francis.

Train

Start at the Rimini train station (Stazione di Rimini). Purchase a ticket for a train to Ravenna. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Ravenna, exit the train station and walk towards the city center. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Piazza S. Francesco. Head northeast on Viale Farini, turn left onto Via Cavour, and continue straight until you reach the square. The Basilica of Saint Francis is located at Piazza S. Francesco, 3.

Bicycle

If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike in Rimini. Start from the city center and head towards the coast. Follow the cycle path along the beach towards Riccione and continue until you reach the 'Via Emilia' road. Turn left onto Via Emilia and follow it until you reach Ravenna. The distance is approximately 30 kilometers, so it may take about 2 hours. Once in Ravenna, follow the signs to the city center, and you will find Piazza S. Francesco easily.

Walking

If you are in Ravenna, you can walk to the Basilica of Saint Francis from the city center. Start at the main square, Piazza del Popolo. Head east on Via IV Novembre, then turn right onto Via Cavour. Continue straight until you reach Piazza S. Francesco. The walk should take about 10-15 minutes. The Basilica is located directly at Piazza S. Francesco, 3.
