You can take bus number 75 or 81, which both stop at the Circo Massimo. Get off at the 'Circo Massimo' stop, and you will see the archaeological area in front of you. Walk towards Piazza di Porta Capena to reach the entrance.

Walking
If you are near the Colosseum, you can easily walk to the Area Archeologica del Circo Massimo. From the Colosseum, head south on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano, then turn left onto Via del Circo Massimo. Continue straight until you reach Piazza di Porta Capena, and the entrance will be on your right.
