Tivoli from Rome: Hadrian’s Villa & Villa d’Este Small-Group Tour
Wow! Tivoli Gardens & Hadrian’s Viila
I love Rome, and I've always wanted to see Hadrian's Villa. Finally, we took a tour today with Alex from Uncle Sam Tours, and Tivoli Gardens was part of that tour. I can't believe how exquisite the gardens are. Something not to be missed! It is a well-preserved, beautiful artifact of the Renaissance, exquisite in and of itself. The villa's interior was frescoed on almost every surface, and the gardens and fountains rose in three or four levels, going on seemingly forever. Alex was a great, informative tour guide who could put what we were seeing in its historical context. A small-group tour was the only way to do this, and it's really easy to get to. It's only 35 km outside of Rome. We learned so much from Alex and had a wonderful and personal day.
