Getting There

  • Public Transport (Metro and Bus)

    Start at any metro station in Rome and take Line A (the orange line) towards Anagnina. Alight at the Anagnina station. From Anagnina, exit the metro station and look for the bus terminal. Take the COTRAL bus towards Rocca di Papa. The bus journey will take around 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Rocca di Papa - Via Scalette'. From the bus stop, walk up Via Scalette for about 1.5 km until you reach the entrance to the hiking trail leading up to Monte Cavo.

  • Train and Bus

    Head to Termini Station in Rome and take a train towards Frascati (the train departs frequently). Once you arrive at Frascati Station, exit and find the bus stop nearby. Take the COTRAL bus that goes to Rocca di Papa. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at 'Rocca di Papa - Via Scalette'. Walk up Via Scalette for about 1.5 km to reach the hiking trail for Monte Cavo.
