Getting There

Train
From central Rome, make your way to the Roma Termini train station. You can take the Metro Line A or Line B to reach Termini. Once at Termini, look for the signs indicating the train to Ostia Antica. You will need to take the train to the Ostia Antica station, which usually requires a transfer at the Porta S. Paolo station. Board the train to Porta S. Paolo, and then switch to the Roma-Lido line toward Lido di Ostia. Get off at the Ostia Antica station. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the archaeological site.

Bus
If you prefer to take a bus, start at the central bus terminal at Termini. Look for the bus routes heading towards Ostia. The bus number 04 or 06 can take you to the area near Ostia Antica. Make sure to ask the driver or check the route maps to confirm that the bus stops near the archaeological site. Once you get off, follow the signs to Ostia Antica, which should be a short distance away.

Metro + Walking
You can also take the Metro Line B to the Eur Magliana station. From there, transfer to bus number 33, which will take you closer to Ostia Antica. Get off the bus and follow the signs, which will guide you toward the entrance of the site. This option requires a bit of walking, so wear comfortable shoes.
