Walking
From the central Piazza della Cisterna in San Gimignano, head northwest on Via San Giovanni. Continue along this street until you reach the intersection. Turn left onto Via della Madonna, and follow this road as it curves slightly to the right. Keep walking until you reach the end of the street where it meets Via San Matteo. Here, turn right and continue until you come to the Piazza della Repubblica. From the Piazza della Repubblica, head towards the exit of the town's walls, taking Via delle Fonti. After exiting the walls, follow the road as it leads you toward the bus station. Once at the bus station, board the bus to Siena, which will take you directly to Piazza Caduti delle Forze Armate.

To get to Fortezza Medicea in Siena from San Gimignano, first make your way to the bus stop located near the main entrance of the town. Take the bus heading to Siena. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Siena bus station, exit the bus and head straight out of the bus station. You should see a sign pointing to the city center. Walk towards the main roads, following signs for Piazza del Campo. From there, continue walking towards Piazza Caduti delle Forze Armate, which is around a 15-minute walk from the main square. You will find Fortezza Medicea nearby.
