Walking
From the main square of San Gimignano, Piazza della Cisterna, head east towards Via San Giovanni. Continue straight on Via San Giovanni until you reach the intersection with Via Vecchia. Turn right onto Via Vecchia and follow it as it curves to the left. This road will lead you to the city walls. Once you reach the walls, continue straight ahead until you arrive at the Porta San Matteo. Go through the gate and continue straight on the road until you reach the bus station. From here, take a bus to Florence. The journey will take around 1 hour. Upon arriving in Florence, make your way to Palazzo Gondi by walking south on Via della Repubblica, then turn left onto Via dei Gondi. The destination will be on your right at number 2.
