If you are starting from the main square of San Gimignano, Piazza della Cisterna, head east towards Via San Giovanni. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Via Vecchia. Turn left onto Via Vecchia and continue walking until you reach the Porta San Giovanni. Go through the gate and follow the path. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Certaldo. Once in Certaldo, look for signs directing you to the Palazzo Pretorio, which is located at Piazzetta del Vicariato, 4. It's a short walk from the train station.
