Getting There

    From the center of San Gimignano, head towards the main square, Piazza della Cisterna. Once you reach the square, look for signs directing you towards the bus station (Autostazione). Exit the square and walk along Via San Giovanni until you reach Via delle Fonti. Turn left onto Via delle Fonti and continue straight until you reach the bus stop. Take the bus to Florence, which will take about an hour. Once in Florence, follow the signs to Piazza San Marco, which is around a 10-minute walk from the bus station. You will pass by the Accademia Gallery on your left. Continue straight along Via Ricasoli, then turn right onto Via San Marco until you reach the piazza.

    From San Gimignano, make your way to the bus station located near the central area. Look for the bus that goes to Florence (Firenze). The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arrival at the main bus station in Florence (Piazza della Libertà), exit the bus and walk towards the direction of Via Nazionale. Continue straight until you reach Piazza San Marco, which is a short walk of about 15 minutes. You will pass by various shops and cafés along the way.
