Walking
Start from the main square, Piazza della Cisterna, which is a central point in San Gimignano. From here, head southeast towards the main street, Via San Giovanni. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via del Duomo. Turn left onto Via del Duomo. Continue walking until you see the imposing structure of the Duomo (Cathedral) on your right. The Piccolomini Library is located at Piazza del Duomo, 8, right next to the Duomo. It should take about 10-15 minutes on foot.

If you are starting from the San Gimignano bus station, exit the station and head towards Via Roma. Walk straight along Via Roma until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path onto Via del Castello, which leads you into the heart of the town. Continue walking on Via del Castello until you reach the main square, Piazza della Cisterna. From there, follow the previous directions to reach the Piccolomini Library in Piazza del Duomo.
Walking
From the Torre Grossa (the tallest tower in San Gimignano), descend the stairs and walk towards Piazza della Cisterna. Once you are in the square, head southeast and take Via San Giovanni, then turn left onto Via del Duomo. The Piccolomini Library is located at Piazza del Duomo, 8. This route will take you about 5-10 minutes.
