From the center of San Gimignano, start by heading south on Via San Giovanni, which is a pedestrian street. Continue straight until you reach the Piazza della Cisterna. From there, take a right onto Via delle Fonti. Walk until you reach the end of the street, and you will find yourself at the edge of the town where you can see the beautiful countryside. Keep walking straight until you reach the bus station. Take a bus to Florence, which will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Florence, follow signs toward the historic center. You will enter the pedestrian area, and from there, walk towards the Arno River. The Ponte Vecchio is directly across the river from the Uffizi Gallery, and you can easily find it by following the riverbank.
