Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, from anywhere in Sicily, you will want to head towards Palermo. Use the A19 motorway if you are coming from Catania or the A29 from Trapani. Once you enter Palermo, follow signs to the city center. Upon reaching the city, navigate to Piazza Conte Federico. There is street parking available, but it can be limited, so be prepared to park a bit further away and walk. Make sure to check local parking signs to avoid fines.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  For those coming by train, travel to Palermo Centrale, the main train station in Palermo. From the train station, exit and look for the bus stops. You can take bus line 101 or 102 towards the city center. Get off at the 'Cantiere Navale' or 'Piazza Pretoria' stops. From there, it's a short 10-15 minute walk to Piazza Conte Federico. Follow the signs towards the Quattro Canti, then navigate to Via Maqueda which leads directly to the Piazza.

  If you are in another town in Sicily, local buses operated by AST or Sais may have routes to Palermo. Once you arrive at the Palermo bus terminal, which is adjacent to the train station, you can follow the same directions as above for the train. For buses, consider checking schedules in advance as they may vary. After getting off, take bus lines 101 or 102 towards the city center and get off at 'Cantiere Navale' or 'Piazza Pretoria', followed by a short walk to the museum.

• Walking

  If you are already in central Palermo, walking to Palazzo Conte Federico is a great option. The museum is located at Piazza Conte Federico, 2, 90134 Palermo PA. From major landmarks such as Teatro Massimo or Quattro Canti, it is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. Head towards Via Maqueda, then turn onto Via Conte Federico to reach the Piazza.
