    Walking

    From the center of Siena, head towards Piazza del Campo. Once you are at the square, exit towards Via di Città. Continue along Via di Città until you reach the intersection with Via Banchi di Sopra. Turn left onto Via Banchi di Sopra and walk straight until you reach the end of the road. At the end, turn right onto Via della Sapienza. This road will lead you to the city walls. Follow the walls until you reach Porta San Giovanni, which is clearly marked.

    From the main bus terminal in Siena, take the bus towards San Gimignano. The bus service is quite frequent, and you can check the schedule at the terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the San Gimignano bus station. Once you get off, walk straight along Via 20 Settembre until you reach the city walls. From there, follow the signs to Porta San Giovanni, which is a short walk away.
