Bus
From Taormina, you can take the Interbus from the Taormina bus station. The bus departs frequently towards Catania. Make sure to board the bus heading to Nicolosi. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Nicolosi, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the Silvestri Craters, which are about 5 kilometers from the bus drop-off point.

Walking
If you prefer a walking route, head towards the Corso Umberto in Taormina and make your way to the bus station. Once you arrive at the bus station, board the bus to Catania as previously described. Upon arriving in Nicolosi, you can ask locals for directions to the Silvestri Craters, which is a popular attraction and well-signposted. The walk from the bus drop-off point to the craters will take about an hour.

If you're looking for a more direct option, you can take a taxi from Taormina to the Silvestri Craters. This option is more comfortable but also more expensive. Taxis are available throughout Taormina, just make sure to negotiate the fare before starting the journey. The drive to Nicolosi takes about 30 minutes.
