Start from the main square in Taormina, Piazza IX Aprile. Head down Via Teatro Greco, which is the street that leads away from the square. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Corso Umberto. Turn right onto Corso Umberto, the main shopping street. Walk for about 15-20 minutes, enjoying the shops and cafes along the way. As you reach the end of Corso Umberto, look for signs directing you towards the bus terminal. At the bus terminal, you can catch a bus to Messina. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

Once you arrive at the Messina bus terminal, exit the bus and head toward Via Cardines. You can ask locals for directions or follow the signs to the nearby attractions. Walk straight on Via Cardines for approximately 10 minutes. Palazzo dell’Ape will be on your left at Via Cardines, 8.

If you prefer a quicker route upon arriving in Messina, you can take a taxi from the bus terminal. Taxis are readily available outside the terminal. Show the driver the address 'Via Cardines, 8, 98122 Messina ME'. The taxi ride should take around 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.
