Getting There

  • Walking

    From the central area of Taormina, start by heading towards Corso Umberto I, the main street. Walk along Corso Umberto I until you reach the intersection with Via Teatro Greco. Continue straight onto Via Teatro Greco. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach the end of the street where it intersects with Via di Giovanni. At this point, look for signs directing you to the bus station, as you will need to take a bus to Catania. Follow the signs to the bus station located near the Porta Catania entrance to Taormina.

    Once you arrive at the bus station, purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Catania. The bus stop will be clearly marked, and buses run frequently. The journey to Catania takes approximately 1 hour. When you arrive at the Catania bus station, exit the bus and head towards the main exit.

    After exiting the bus station in Catania, walk straight towards Via Etnea, the main shopping street. From the bus station, turn left on Via Etnea and continue walking for about 20 minutes. You’ll pass by several shops and cafes along the way. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Cavour, which is a large square with beautiful architecture. Piazza Cavour will be on your right side.
