Walking
If you're starting from the Taormina Cable Car Station, exit the station and head towards the main street, Via Luigi Pirandello. Turn right and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Corso Umberto. Turn left onto Corso Umberto and continue walking. Porta Messina will be about a 15-minute walk ahead on your right. Look for the large archway marking the entrance.

From the Greek Theatre, exit the theatre and head down the path leading towards Via Teatro Greco. At the end of the path, turn left onto Corso Umberto. Walk straight for about 10 minutes, and you will see Porta Messina on your left as you approach the entrance to Taormina.

If you are at the main square, Piazza IX Aprile, head down the stairs to Via delle Sciarpe. Continue straight until you reach Corso Umberto. Turn right onto Corso Umberto and walk approximately 5 minutes. Porta Messina will be on your right side as you approach the archway.

From the bus station, exit and head down the hill on Via Cappuccini. When you reach the intersection with Corso Umberto, turn right. Continue walking along Corso Umberto for about 20 minutes. You'll see Porta Messina on your left, marked by its impressive arch.
