Getting There

• Bus

  From Trieste city center, head to the Trieste Bus Station (Autostazione di Trieste), located at Piazza della Libertà. Take the bus line 44 towards 'Nova Vas'. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Get off at the stop 'Gedići', which is the closest stop to Jama - Grotta Baredine. From the bus stop, walk approximately 10 minutes along the road towards Gedići 55, following the directional signs to the cave.

• Train and Bus

  Take a train from Trieste Centrale to the nearest station, which is 'Buje' in Croatia. After arriving at Buje, you can catch a local bus that heads towards Nova Vas. Make sure to check the bus schedules, as they may vary. Once you arrive at the Nova Vas stop, walk approximately 15 minutes to reach Jama - Grotta Baredine at Gedići 55.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle in Trieste and head out on the cycling paths towards Nova Vas. The route is approximately 25 km and will take you about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your cycling speed. Follow the signs for cycling routes leading to Nova Vas, and once you reach the area, navigate to Gedići 55 where Jama - Grotta Baredine is located.
