Getting There

• Bus

  From Trieste, head to the main bus station at Piazza della Libertà. Look for buses heading to Portorož; the bus company 'Autotrans' operates regular services. Board a bus that goes directly to Portorož, which usually takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Portorož bus station, exit the station and head towards the coast. Walk straight down Obala, and within 10-15 minutes, you will reach Plaža Portorož at Obala 20.

• Train and Bus

  Take a train from Trieste Centrale station to Koper. Check the train schedule for the best times. After arriving at Koper, exit the train station and locate the bus stop just outside the station. Catch a bus towards Portorož. The bus ride should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Portorož, walk along the waterfront on Obala, and after about 10 minutes, you will arrive at Plaža Portorož located at Obala 20.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare service from Trieste to Portorož. Simply request a ride to 'Obala 20, Portorož' using your preferred app or ask the taxi driver. The drive will typically take about 40-50 minutes depending on traffic. This option is best if you're traveling in a group or with luggage.

• Walking from Nearby Locations

  If you are already in a nearby area like Piran, you can walk to Plaža Portorož. Head southwest along the coastal path for stunning views, following the signs toward Portorož. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes to walk there. Upon reaching Portorož, simply continue along the waterfront until you reach Obala 20, where the beach pavilion is located.
