Getting There

    If you are starting from the central train station (Stazione di Trieste Centrale), exit the station and head west on Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the waterfront. Turn left onto Riva Tre Novembre and walk along the promenade for about 500 meters. You will see Piazza Unità d'Italia appearing ahead. The square is located at the end of the promenade.

    From the central train station (Stazione di Trieste Centrale), walk to the bus stop located just outside the station. Take bus number 20 (direction: Barcola) or bus number 26 (direction: Rozzol Melara). After approximately 7 stops, alight at 'Piazza Unità d'Italia' stop. The square is right in front of you, and you will see the beautiful buildings surrounding it.

    From the central train station, walk to the nearest tram station 'Trieste Centrale'. Board Tram Line 1 heading towards 'Opicina'. After about 10 minutes and 6 stops, get off at 'Piazza Unità d'Italia'. The square is directly in front of you as you exit the tram.
