Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Trieste Train Station (Stazione di Trieste), head west on Via della Ferrovia towards Via G. Garibaldi. After about 300 meters, turn right onto Via G. Garibaldi and continue straight until you reach Piazza della Libertà. Continue through the square, and you will see Via XX Settembre ahead. Walk down Via XX Settembre until you reach the intersection with Corso Italia. Turn left onto Corso Italia and walk straight until you reach the waterfront. Follow the waterfront promenade (Molo Audace) until you reach the end, where you will see the magnificent Unity of Italy Square (Piazza Unità d'Italia) directly ahead.

    From the Trieste Train Station, take the local bus number 20, which departs from the station. Ride the bus for about 5 stops (approximately 10 minutes) and disembark at the 'Piazza Unità d'Italia' bus stop. Once you exit the bus, you will be directly at the square.
