Car
From Florence, take the A1 autostrada towards Rome. After approximately 30 km, take the exit for Certaldo (Exit 48). Follow the signs towards Certaldo and continue on the SP11 road. As you approach Certaldo, follow the signs for the town center. Once in Certaldo, navigate to Via Giovanni Boccaccio. Boccaccio's house is located at Via Giovanni Boccaccio, 18, 50052 Certaldo FI. Parking is available nearby but may incur a small fee.
Train and Walking
From Florence's Santa Maria Novella train station, take a train to Certaldo. Trains run frequently and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Certaldo train station, exit and take a left onto Via Roma. Continue straight until you reach Piazza Boccaccio, then turn left onto Via Giovanni Boccaccio. Boccaccio's house is located at Via Giovanni Boccaccio, 18, 50052 Certaldo FI. The walk from the train station to the house will take approximately 15 minutes.
Bus
From Florence, you can take a bus to Certaldo. Buses depart from the bus station near Santa Maria Novella and take around 45 minutes to reach Certaldo. Upon arrival, follow the signs towards the town center and head to Via Giovanni Boccaccio. The house is located at Via Giovanni Boccaccio, 18, 50052 Certaldo FI. Be sure to check the local bus schedule for return times.
