If you are traveling by car, navigate to Assisi via the main roads of Umbria. From Perugia, take the E45 highway towards Rome. Take the exit for Assisi and follow the signs towards the city center. Once in Assisi, you can park at the designated parking areas near the city center. From the parking area, it's a short 15-minute walk uphill to Rocca Maggiore. Follow Via della Rocca until you reach the fortress.

To reach Rocca Maggiore using public transport, take a train to Assisi from other towns in Umbria, such as Perugia or Spoleto. The main train station in Assisi is about 2.5 km away from the fortress. From the train station, you can take a bus (line 2) towards the city center. Once you get off at the 'Piazza del Comune' stop, follow the signs leading to Rocca Maggiore, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill from there. Be prepared for some steep slopes!

If you are already in Assisi and prefer walking, head towards Via San Francesco from the city center. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Rocca.
