Car
If you are traveling by car, navigate to Perugia by using the A1 autostrada. Take the exit for Perugia and follow signs towards the city center. Once you reach Perugia, follow Via Mario Angeloni, then turn onto Via della Repubblica. Follow this road until you reach the city walls. Look for signs directing you to Porta Trasimena. There is limited parking available near the gate, so be sure to check for parking restrictions.
Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus to Perugia from your location in Umbria. The main bus terminal in Perugia is located at Piazza Partigiani. From the bus station, you can either walk to Trasimena Gate or take a local bus. To walk, exit the bus station and head toward Via Mario Angeloni, turning right onto Via della Repubblica. Continue straight until you reach the gate. This walk is approximately 15-20 minutes.
Public Transportation - Train
If you are coming from another city in Umbria, you can take a train to Perugia. The Perugia train station is located about 3 km from the city center. After arriving at the station, you can take a local bus (Line 1 or Line 3) to the city center, getting off at Piazza Italia. From there, it is a short walk to Trasimena Gate via Via dei Priori. Alternatively, you can opt for a taxi from the train station, which should cost around €10-€15.
