Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Aosta, the capital of the Aosta Valley. Head east on the SS26 road from Aosta towards Pont-Saint-Martin. After approximately 20 km, take the exit toward La Place. Follow the signs for La Place and continue on Località 30. You will find Issogne Castle located at Località 30, 11020 La Place AO. Parking is available near the castle, but do note that it may involve a short walk to the entrance.
Public Transportation (Bus)
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Aosta to Issogne. The bus service is operated by the local transport company, and you can catch the bus from the Aosta bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Pont-Saint-Martin. After around 30-40 minutes, get off at the stop for La Place. From the bus stop, it is about a 15-minute walk to Issogne Castle. Follow the signs to Località 30, and enjoy the scenic walk through the beautiful countryside.
Walking
For those already in La Place, the castle is accessible by foot. From the center of La Place, head towards Località 30. The castle is approximately a 10-15 minute walk. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path may involve some uneven terrain. The castle’s stunning architecture and gardens are well worth the walk!
