Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Soraga di Fassa. Drive towards the north on Strada de Soraga for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Strada de San Giovanni. Turn left onto Strada de San Giovanni and continue for approximately 2 kilometers. You will see signs for Cima Uomo. Make sure to park in designated areas near the cable car station or hiking trailhead.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a local bus from any location in Val di Fassa towards Soraga di Fassa. The bus schedules may vary, so check the local timetable at the bus stop or online. Once you arrive in Soraga di Fassa, you can either walk to Cima Uomo (approximately a 30-minute walk) or take a local taxi. Ensure you have some cash for the bus fare, typically around €2-€3.
Cable Car
If you prefer a quicker ascent, consider taking the cable car from Soraga di Fassa to the higher trails leading to Cima Uomo. After reaching the cable car station, purchase a ticket at the ticket office (prices vary, around €20 for a round trip). The cable car will take you to a higher elevation from where you can hike to Cima Uomo in about 30-40 minutes.
Hiking
For the adventurous, you can hike directly to Cima Uomo from Soraga. The trail begins near the center of Soraga and is well-marked. It is a moderate hike that will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes and bring water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the route.
