If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Cles, which is a central point in Val di Non. Head southeast on Strada Statale 43 (SS43) towards the town of Vadena. Continue for approximately 15 km. Once you reach Vadena, look for signs directing you to Castelchiaro (Castel Chiar). The castle is located at coordinates 46.378918, 11.279845. There is parking available near the entrance. Please note that while there are no direct tolls, ensure your vehicle is well-fueled as stops in rural areas may be limited.
Public Transportation
To access Castelchiaro via public transportation, take a bus from Cles to Vadena. Bus lines operate regularly from Cles, and you can check the local timetable for exact times. Once you arrive in Vadena, you may need to walk approximately 2 km to reach Castelchiaro. Follow the signs for the castle, and you will find it easily. If you are already in Vadena, walking to Castelchiaro is a great option. The castle is about a 20-30 minute walk from the town center.
