Car
If you're traveling by car, start on the A32 motorway heading towards Bardonecchia. Take the exit for Exilles (Exit 23) and follow the signs for Exilles. Continue on SP23 for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the fortress. Parking is available near the Forte di Exilles. Be aware of any potential tolls on the A32.
Public Transportation
To reach Exilles via public transportation, take a train from Turin to Oulx, which is approximately a 1-hour journey. From Oulx, you can catch a local bus (line 280) heading towards Exilles. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as it may vary. Note that the bus fare is usually around €2-€3.
Walking from Exilles bus stop
Once you arrive at the Exilles bus stop, walk towards the Forte di Exilles, which is approximately a 15-minute walk (1.5 kilometers). Follow the signs leading to the fortress. The route is mostly uphill, so wear comfortable shoes.
