Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Susa. Head southeast on SS25 towards Cesana Torinese. Continue on SS25 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the junction for SP21. Take SP21 towards Valsavarenche. Follow SP21 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the Gran Paradiso National Park entrance. From there, follow the signs for Gran Paradiso, which is located at 11010 Valsavarenche, Aosta Valley. Parking may incur a fee, so be prepared for that.

Public Transportation
To reach Gran Paradiso using public transportation, take a train from Turin to Oulx. The train journey takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arriving in Oulx, transfer to a local bus towards Cesana Torinese. Get off at the Valsavarenche stop. From there, you will need to hike or take a taxi to reach the Gran Paradiso area, as public transport to the park entrance may be limited. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as it may not operate frequently.

If you prefer a more direct route from Oulx or Susa, consider taking a taxi. Taxis are available at the train stations, and while they may be more expensive, they provide a direct route to Gran Paradiso. Expect the fare to be around €50-€70 depending on the distance and time of day.
